Sony Ericsson Xperia pro Review | Latest Specifications. Although the touch screen displays have become very popular in recent years, still bamyak people out there who prefer to have a physical keyboard. Sony Ericsson recognizes this and that is why in addition to the Xperia Neo, they also have the Xperia Pro. Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro is a smartphone Android who recently launched in Canada and has been taken for a test drive.
Sony Ericsson Xperia pros who have slightly different features of the customer rather than the Xperia Play. Instead of a slide-out game control, it leads to a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. It is already one of the greatest differentiating factor that makes this smartphone Xperia unlike other devices and increasingly unlike other Android smartphones in general.
As far as the core specification, you'll find a Qualcomm 1GHz Snapdragon MSM8255 processor to go along with 1GB of internal memory, 3.7-inch 480 × 854 pixel LED backlit capacitive touchscreen LCD, 512MB RAM, 8MP camera, Android 2.3 Gingerbread, accelerometer, Sony's BRAVIA Engine Mobile, microSD expansion, and VGA videocall camera facing forward. FM stereo, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, GPS with aGPS, HSDPA 7.2 and HSUPA 5.8 along with.
Unlike Google Nexus S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro has a glossy plastic exterior and smooth. Some people may think that this sounds cheap, but it's mostly just a matter of personal preference.
For keyboard sliding mechanism feels strong and three buttons at the bottom is typical of the Xperia line. I'm personally a fan of the "slim", but many who argue that too tp is relatively small. Performance seems improved from the previous Xperia smartphone and overall size, while not all that compact, is a small touch of some "superphones" greater Android that have flooded the market.
When typing on the keyboard, the majority of the Android smartphone now has no physical keyboard. This is easily going to be interesting for fans of tactile feedback. The good news is that the QWERTY keyboard on the Xperia pro is good enough.
Keys offers a soft surface and they are slightly domed. Coupled with a decent distance, it's really easy to type based on taste. It should be noted that the keys are not arranged in a slightly staggered fashion, such as how you would find on a computer keyboard, they are in a perfect grid. So, this may take some getting used to for some people, but I think it's pretty big.

Sony Ericsson is a great company, to be sure, but still not among the top-tier when it comes to Android smartphones. That the upper level may be still held by HTC and Samsung, perhaps with an honorable mention for Motorola.
Xperia pro continues with the kind of tradition. It will not win any awards and it's not going to floor you with its performance. What it will give your Android experience is more than enough at a reasonable price. 1GHz processors felt dated compared to current dual core (and soon quad-core) competition, but it gets the job done. Keyboard plus, for those who like the keyboard, and camera (here are some sample photos) are very good too.
